National Alpaca Farm Days

Alpaca Ranch Tour

September 25th and 26th, 2010

Each year many of our ranches are open to the public at our annual Ranch Tour, part of National Alpaca Farm Days. This is a great opportunity to visit ranches in your area. You will not only see the alpacas up close, but you will see how folks have set up their properties, including shelters and fencing. Most ranches will also have alpaca items for sale, including yarn, socks, scarves, apparel and accessories for the home. These are beautiful hand-made and commercial alpaca products that make great gifts for yourself or someone you care about. This is a weekend to come out and enjoy a day of touring ranches, meeting folks and alpacas - and it is all FREE! Remember you don't have to wait for National Alpaca Farm Days to visit us - just contact us to set up a visit!

UC Davis Camelid Symposium

January 16 & 17, 2010

Alpaca Gold Association supports and volunteers each year at the UC Davis Camelid Symposium. This two day event hosted by CALPACA and the Camelid Medicine Club of UC Davis is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about alpacas or for those who want to continue their education. This event offers seminars at all levels.

Nevada County Fair

August 11th - 15th, 2010

Every year the AGA participates in the Nevada County Fair with an educational Booth. We bring alpacas, demonstrate fiber arts (spinning, weaving, etc) and display a variety of beautiful items that have been hand-made by our members. We have enjoyed many years in partnership with the Nevada County Fair and look forward to the 2010 event. Please come visit us to find out about our organization and to meet the alpacas themselves!
